Will my LinkedIn connections see on their dashboard when I am mentioned in a post?
There are number of ways that your connections may see if you’ve been mentioned in a newsfeed post (or update)
- The news feed itself. Depending on how frequently you interact with them, they may see it in a news feed. Like Facebook, Linkedin uses an algorithm to determine what content you see based off a number of things.
- In notifications if you have a mutual connection and they mentioned you they’ll see that, but it’s more focused on the person who did the update, not you.
- Email notifications sometimes contain updates from your connections that get a lot of traction. If you have a mutual connection and you’re mentioned in the comment that’s sent in that email, they’ll see you. Again, focused more on the original sharer not you.
