The gold symbol you see next to Linkedin profiles is called a “Premium Profile Badge” and it means that person has a paid account. Here’s how to turn it on/off, and why it matters when you’re looking for leads.

What it looks like

You’ll see a gold “IN” profile badge next to profiles in both search and profile pages. Here are a few examples of what it looks like in Free/Premium as well as Sales Navigator:

Turning on your Profile Badge

Step 1: Log into Linkedin and click “View profile”

Step 2: Click the Edit Pencil Icon on the right (below your banner image)
